City Car Hire – Larnaca, Cyprus

No security deposit is required if you choose SCDW insurance, which reduces the excess for this vehicle group to €100. Without SCDW, a €300 security deposit applies.

A credit card is not required – a standard debit card is sufficient. You will need to provide your card details, but the card will not be charged at the start of the rental. Disposable cards are not accepted.

Drivers must be at least 23 years old and have held a driving licence for at least two years.

Rental prices are based on collection and return at our Larnaca office during opening hours, 09:00–17:00. Other locations and out-of-hours services are available at the following rates:

• Larnaca Airport: free collection and return between 09:00 and 17:00 for rentals of 2 days or longer. For a 1-day rental, a €25 collection fee and a €25 return fee apply.
• Hotels and addresses within Larnaca city limits: €10 for delivery and €10 for collection.
• Oroklini and Dhekelia Road, outside Larnaca city limits: €25 for delivery and €25 for collection.
• Outside opening hours: an additional €15 applies to each pick-up or return outside 09:00–17:00, at any location. This is added to any applicable delivery or collection fee.

Please include your preferred pick-up and return locations and times in the booking notes when making your reservation.

No fuel deposit is required. Simply return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had when you collected it. If the tank was full at pick-up, please return it full; if it was half full, return it with half a tank.

There is no daily mileage limit, so you can explore Cyprus without worrying about extra distance charges.

In some cases, travel to Northern Cyprus is permitted. If you plan to cross the border, it is necessary to mention this in the booking notes when making your reservation. Please note that insurance issued in the Republic of Cyprus is not valid in Northern Cyprus. Separate third-party insurance must be purchased at the border crossing before entering Northern Cyprus.

Border insurance offices operate during daytime hours only. If you arrive late at night and plan to travel directly to Northern Cyprus, you will need to wait until the following morning to purchase the required insurance and continue your journey.

Third-party liability insurance is included in the rental price. The following optional cover is available:

• SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver): €10 per day. No security deposit is required with SCDW. Without it, a €300 security deposit applies.
• WW (Wheels and Windscreen Insurance): €5 per day.
• TP (Theft Protection): €2 per day.
• PI (Passenger Insurance): €1 per day.

All of the above options are voluntary and can be added to your rental.

• Additional driver: €3 per day.
• Infant seat, baby seat or booster seat: €3 per day, per seat.

Driving off-road or on unpaved roads is strictly prohibited. This restriction applies in particular to dirt tracks such as those around Cape Greco, the Larnaca Salt Lake and the forest roads of the Troodos Mountains, which are not suitable for standard rental vehicles.

Please note that no insurance coverage applies to damage caused while driving off paved roads. The rental company reserves the right to charge a penalty of between €50 and €500 if the vehicle is used on unpaved or off-road routes.
